The Tirana Municipal Police has joined the operation for planting 100,000 trees in Albania’s capital.
They donated 80 European redbud trees, also known as the “Tree of Love”, which were planted at the Qemal Stafa garden.
“Two and a half years ago this was an no-access area, full of bushes. Today it is a gem for Tirana’s citizens, in the middle of the boulevard. We must remind ourselves the work we’ve done so far, but we must also admit that there is still a lot to do, until we have the Tirana of our dreams”, Veliaj said.
Thanking the Municipal Police for their contribution, the Mayor said that Tirana is very close to achieving the objective of having 100,000 new trees planted in Albania’s capital.
