On the national week dedicated to children without parents or with one parent, the Mayor of Tirana said Albania has more people than ever before today who lend a hand to those in difficulty.
“I am glad that the society and institutions got together to help anyone that has been hit by life, but that needs to get up and keep running towards success”, Veliaj said.
The children of Tirana’s center for children without parents, “Zyber Hallulli”, visited the Presidency today and the Mayor thanked President Meta personally for this initiative.;
“I am glad that the Presidency is also open to the public, especially to children. Since it is raining today, we took the playground and we brought it here”, Veliaj said, underlining that children must all be treated equally.
“No one should tell someone that this child needs special treatment because he I an orphan, as if there is an impediment that no one can recover from. Life has many challenges and I trust that whoever overcomes these challenges with courage and optimism, becomes great, wise and useful”, the Mayor declared.
