Tirana Mayor, Veliaj: “New Ring Road segment opens in September”

The project will help reduce the traffic in Albania’s capital, by also connecting two newly populated areas, Kashar and Farka.

Mayor Veliaj thanked the all colleagues who were part of the project, the Ministry of Transportation, the National Road Authority, the central government and Prime Minister Edi Rama.

“I am looking forward to ask the new government to work faster for the other parts of the greater Ring Road, which will connect Dajt with Bregu Lumit”, Veliaj said.

The Tirana Municipality has a concrete plan for building and underpass at the “Shqiponja” square, by also promising to close all illegal openings of the highway, from Dritan Hoxha to the Rinas-Tirane segment.

“When school starts this September, early hours will be dedicated only to family traffic. Other transportation vehicles will  supply shops with goods only after children have gone to school”, Veliaj said.
