Tirana Mayor: “The worst is over now for Tirana. Our investments during summer were rewarded”

“Several pump stations are out of order, especially in Laknas, Berxull, near Kashar. No water can be pumped until the situation is stabilized there. I ask citizens to save water since we are facing a problematic situation”, Veliaj said.

He inspected the suburbs of the capital, where the situation is more problematic.

“Fortunately, Tirana has not been as problematic as in the past year. This is a  reward for the hard work and the investments made this summer. The Tirana River has been the most problematic in the past, and I think that the debate we had with our opponents, who said that we shouldn’t move communities from the riverside, has received an answer now. That test was successful”, Veliaj said.

He said that the same situation has been presented with the Lana River as well. The cleaning made during summer has avoided floods. As for rural areas, he identified the situation in Peza and Zall-Bastar, where there have been several problems.
