Tirana Mayor meets Verona counterpart in Italy, discuss green transportation

Tirana and Verona have joint projects for public transportation and illumination.
The Mayor of Tirna, Erion Veliaj, attended a short visit in Italy, invited by his Verona counterpart, Federico Sboarina.
Both mayors discussed about deepening the cooperation between their cities and having the Albanian producers attend the international wine event “VinItaly”.
“We are studying projects for the illumination and public transportations. As I have promised even before, if private operators will not modernize their fleet, taking electric buses, the cooperation with Verona is the concrete proof that we will replace many of those lines. We can clean the city better, we can also mange the public transportation better”, Veliaj declared.
He underlined that both cities have a success story as regards the city cleaning.
“Many Italians and other foreigners who visit Tirana see a cleaner city. We want this to continue”, Veliaj said.
