Tirana Mayor meets Sarajevo counterpart, discuss forum of Balkan Mayors

“Tirana and Sarajevo will increase their cooperation for the best of their citizens”, said Tirana’s Mayor Erion Veliaj has he received his counterpart from Bosnia Herzegovina, Abdulah Skaka.

They planted a tree together, symbolizing the friendship between our people, while announcing new and strong partnership projects between both capitals.

“I am happy that a citizen of Albania, Majlinda Bregu, will lead a special center for regional cooperation in Sarajevo. She will become a citizen of Sarajevo and will use this platform as a cooperation bridge between both countries”, Veliaj said.

During this meeting, the Mayor of Sarajevo welcomed Veliaj’s proposition to create a permanent forum of Balkan Mayors, which will help improve relations with business, youth and culture.
