The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, appeals young citizens to celebrate their happy moments of marriage or childbirth by planting a tree in the city’s park.
“Three couples are married each day at the Municipal Unit 7. That means 1000 trees a year from marriages and maybe 2000-3000 from childbirths”, the Mayor said.
He appealed citizens and businesses to join their initiative and break last year’s record.
