The Mayor of Tirana, Erion veliaj, attended the “Green Cities = Improved Lives” meeting in Sarajeva, where he announced that their ambition for the public transportation system in Albania’s capital is to have only electric vehicles.
“Our ambition is to focus most of the EBRD funds on the Green Cities’ Program”, to bring more electric transportation. We have made progress with bicycles and electric taxis. Now it is time to focus on buses”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor also focused on the orbital forest, which will give Tirana a green belt composed of 2 million trees.
