Tirana Mayor Candidates present business strategies

The candidates for the Tirana Municipality gathered this Tuesday in an
activity organized by the US Chamber of Commerce, to present their
strategies for business.
Halim Kosova, the candidate of the Democratic Party, declared that he is working with the best international managers for his strategy, in order to open new jobs, reduce the tax package with 30%, which is the limit set by law, and offer millions of USD to finance businesses.
He promised to make it easier for businesses to operate, to build a new multi-modal station that will serve to the citizens and make the differentiate urban wastes.
Erion Veliaj, the Socialist Party candidate, declared that his strategy includes the reforms that proved to be successful with the central government, such as the Economic Council and the Council of Labor.
The former Minister of Social Welfare promised to implement a concrete development plan for the first 100 days. He added that Tirana has options to modernize and resolve the traffic and sewage problems.
Veliaj limited the critics against the current local government of Tirana, which he has considered as bankrupt since it collects only 5% of the revenues.
