Tirana Mayor at Cities Summit 2017 in Tel Aviv, Israel

Tirana participated and led the Cities Summit in Tel Aviv, together with cities such as Frankfurt and Warsaw.

Mayor Erion Veliaj was selected by the Cities Summit, held in Tel Aviv, Israel, to introduce Tirana’s projects from SMS parking, “My Tirana” app, and transformations made for children, such as playgrounds, kindergartens, schools and urban projects such as Pazari i Ri, and soft-loan housing policies.

During his visit in Israel, Vliaj was received by the historic Mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai. With this city, Tirana will also cooperate for tourism and innovation.

Later the Mayor was received at the Jerusalem Municipality by his counterpart Nir Barkat, with whom Tirana is expected to cooperate in education and innovation.

Mayor Veliaj expressed his interest for both cities cooperating in education and innovation.
