Tirana Education Directory withdraws decision for transferring school

After harsh protests from the parents, the Education Directory withdrew
its decision for transferring the school “Konferenca e Pezes”.
This school will continue its function, as declared by a press release of the Education Directory, after the parents and students protests.
The director of Education Directory, Arjana Bekteshi, wanted to spread the students of three middle schools in other buildings. According to her, these three middle schools had a low number of students, while high schools all over Tirana are overcrowded and lessons are given in daily shifts, sometimes finishing at 21:00. Mrs. Bekteshi wanted to reduce the flux of students in these schools that teach 1600 students in average.
