The floods of this Tuesday in Lezhe have caused three victims. The rapid
waters have taken four people, but a 15-year-old was able to swim out.
The 26-year-old Dorina Kola was taken by the water while they were
driving in the city center.
The police found the 60-year-old victim drowned inside the vehicle, while the 26-year-old woman was found after some hours.
In the Gallata village, Kurbin, two boys were riding on a motorcycle when they were taken by the waters.
One of the boys, aged 15, was able to come out with the help of the residents. The 21-year-old was found dead after pne hour by the police. The rains started yesterday at 15:00.
An emergency headquarters was created and 300 police forces were sent on terrain, together with firefighters and municipal workers.
The water level has increased too fast and flooded even the electric substation.
The pumps were not working due to the lack of electricity, while the rains were so heavy that even streams were a source of flood.
The material damage in private residents is very huge.
The electricity returned after the water left the substation. The situation is going towards normalization while the weather is bright and warm.
