Three Democratic Party MP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Gazmend Bardhi and Ervin Salianji, and also journalist Jetmir Olldashi, were summoned today at the Prosecution for the audio recording of the Interior Minister’s brother.

The Democratic Party members didn’t appear in court this Thursday, because they were in Parliament.

After the three MPs published the audio recorded by journalist Olldashi, in which they claimed you could hear the voice of the Interior Minister’s brother, Agron Xhafaj, talking with a drug trafficker, the latter declared that the audio was manipulated and filed a lawsuit against them at the Prosecution.

After this, Xhafaj handed himself over to the Italian authorities in Italy to get investigated. Albanian Prime Minister Rama said that an international company, which had the necessary expertise, had already analyzed the audio and proven it was manipulated for destabilizing Albania before the EU votes about our country’s accession negotiations, in June.
