The three Democratic Party MPs, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Gazmend Bardhi and Ervin Salianji did not appear at the Prosecution of Serious Crimes regarding the alleged audio recording of the Interior Minister’s brother.
They asked the Prosecution to postpone the meeting to another day, since they were busy with the plenary session.
Agron Xhafaj, the brother of Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj, filed a criminal lawsuit against three MPs, claiming that the audio recording is manipulated.
Then he handed himself over to the Italian authorities, while Prime Minister Rama said that an international investigation of the audio material proved that it is just a manipulation for destabilizing Albania before the EU member countries vote for the accession negotiations.
