The Korce Police finalized the operation code-named “Lake”, arresting
two Customs agents at the Tushemisht border checkpoint in Pogradec, over
smuggling charges.
Custom Agents Defrim Selko and Ardian Dhami are accused of allowing a merchant smuggle goods.
“These citizens were prosecuted after the Police found in their vehicle 400 kg of cheese, 43 liters of oil, 137 kg of mushroom, entering from the Tushemisht Customs Checkpoint”, the Police report said.
Businessman Arshim Malçellari will also be under prosecution. He is suspected of having profited favors from the two Customs agents for two year, in exchange of bribe.
