Three Albanian seamen were arrested in Yemen with illegal arm traffic charges.
The Albanian seamen were on the board of a ship that was holding a Maldive flag, and which was carrying 180 tons of weapons and ammunition.
Ship Captain Arif Bakillari says that the load is regular and was being sent to Iraq, and that during their journey they have also been accompanied by NATO ships.
As soon as they arrived at the Yemen port to refuel, the local authorities have arrested them and are now awaiting trial for violation of international and local laws.
This is a very mysterious history, since the ship sailed from Greece, was loaded in Montenegro and the weapons they were carrying are of Serbian origin.
