In the meeting with the Parliamentary Group, the Albanian Prime
Minister, Edi Rama, highlighted the high results from Customs and Tax
Office who, according to him, were ableto surpass the entire plan in
only 40 days, marking a high growth compared to the same period of one
year ago.
According to the Prime Minister, the country’s economy would be supported on the strong foundations offered by the International Monetary Fund, with support from the World Bank.
“We can say without hesitation that the path to recovery is now open, and as we promised, it aims to start with paying the government’s debt to the private business, and to close debts that were opened everywhere in Albania due to the financial and corruptive chaos of our infrastructure”, Rama declared.
On the same time, the Prime Minister rejected all possibilities of having a Greek crisis in Albania, as declared by his political opponents.
“We can say that whoever dreams the Greek scenario for political reasons, or whoever only fears a further economic ruin, due to the shocking crisis we received, should be clear that the worst will pass in 2013”, Rama declared.
This certainly, according to the Prime Minister, comes from the intensive work made with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, world’s highest economic experts and also from the analyze of the current economic and financial situation, and the country’s development potentials. Rama made it clear that despite the difficulties, the government will turn its electoral promises to reality.
“What we have promised is a point of reference with the IMF and WB meetings, and also in the planning of the new budget and the new program with the International Monetary Fund”, Rama declared.
During his speech, Rama thanked the Korce and Karbunara citizens who, according to him, gave a deep victory to the socialist candidates in the elections held this Sunday.
