The relatives of the workers who were injured in today’s explosion have
gathered in front of the Kosovo University Hospital and they say they
know nothing about their loved ones.
They didn’t want to speak for the media, since they don’t have enough information about the destiny of their relatives who were at the thermo-central during the explosion.
Nuredin Dardhishta, who works for a private company that supplies oxygen to the company, was present during the explosion and says that he was covered by metal objects and other debris, and it was difficult for him to leave the place.
He fears that the worst has happened to three workers who were close to him during the explosion.
The Emergency Director at the Kosovo University Hospital say that all the cases that arrived to them today are alive, and 12 will be treated even in the days to come.
The police didn’t allow the journalists or even relatives to enter the hospital, until the arrival of the Health Minister, Ferid Agani, and President Atifete Jahjaga, who gave an interview for the media.
The European Union and other organizations have recommended for years to close the “Kosova A” thermo-central due to the unstable conditions.
