The political talk show “Te Paekspozuarit”, (The unexposed), started its new season on Top Channel with “Armo, a joint crime”, a hot topic with many guests, which grabbed the attention of the Albanian public last night.
ARMO, the public oil refinery with huge debts and social drama, has been a hot topic recently. It was the first topic treated by journalist Ylli Rakipi on Top Channel.
Dashamir Shehi: “This is an abuse, a fraud, same as the pyramid schemes. This needs no political or economic scrutiny”.
Andi Bushati: “If you hear our politicians saying that a huge investment is coming, you must know that a huge theft is hidden behind. We are used to this propaganda.
Arlind Qori: “If an enterprise gets privatized, then the rules change. It’s no more too many people stealing small amounts, it’s just a few people stealing huge amounts”.
Panajot Soko: “The main purpose was to use it for its destination. It was a company that would produce oil. It was taken to be used as a collateral”.
Businessman Besnik Sulaj intervened in the show with a live phone call. He didn’t answer to the accusations why the company administered by his brother, was not paying taxes.
Ornela Liperi: “There are 27 million USD missing. Why haven’t you paid them?”
Besnik Sulaj: “The reason is very simple. The refinery works based on a capacity. To have profit it needs to produce 90,000 tons a month”.
Ornela Liperi: “What about the oil that you produced? You have sold it and received your tax. Every person pays 170 ALL for oil. 100 ALL are taxes. You have paid only half of this in taxes. What about the other half?”
The Unexposed will continue every Thursday to touch sensible topics for the public opinion, revealing the truth of many affairs and violations that damage citizens.
