This warm weekend, Vlora in the southwestern Albanian coast seemed full of vacationers, which could be confirmed on the streets, in hotels and on its beaches.
In addition to day-trippers and Albanians from Kosovo, the southwestern coastal city has a large number of vacationers from European countries.
“I’m Vilhelm and I come from Germany. I’ve been living in Albania, in Tirana for several months and this weekend I decided to come to Vlora because the temperatures are similar to those of summer, I like the nature, the sea,” says the tourist.
Another interviewee said: “I’m Ana from Berlin, I’ve been living in Tirana for nine months and this weekend we decided to come to Vlora, Vlora and Albania are wonderful”.
But also in the inner neighborhoods of Vlora you can find new residents, who in many cases are Ukrainians.
“I have been in Albania since March due to the situation in Ukraine, we discovered this wonderful city and we are enjoying the sea, thwe nature and everything it offers.
“We hope that at the closure of the situation in Ukraine things will calm down and with my fellow citizens will come and visit this wonderful place”, said the tourist.
According to reports, the vast majority of hotels in Vlora are booked by local and foreign vacationers and the odds show that 2023 will be the best tourist year.
