Despite the citizens’ reaction, the destruction of the Tirana Lake Park
continues. The Chairman of the Heritage Defense Forum, Artan Lame,
declared that the Municipality is staying silent and is not making the
project public.
“We are not saying if the road is necessary or not. The citizens didn’t say if the want a road or not, because we are not making a referendum for the road, but we are saying that we need a publication of the project that was approved, as the law demands. After all these public requests fro the law implementation, there has been no official announcement from the organisms mentioned above”, Lame declared.
A few days ago, the civil society filed a report at the Tirana Prosecution by asking the authorities to investigate on the project.
