The serious attacks that have been considered by police as terrorist
acts have taken place in our country during the entire January.

On the first day of this year, police declared that a considerable amount of dynamite was placed in the foot of a high power pole of the Tirana-Podgorica line.

The power pole was damaged in Nderlalaj, Milot, and the explosion was able to cut one of the pole’s legs at 10 meters from the ground.

Police found another charge of dynamite at the other leg, 10 meters from the ground, with a weight of 6.4 kg.

Police also found two pieces of cart-board, with the words “Oil” and “Tax” written on it.

The head of the Qender Commune in Vlore, Alfred Berberi, was wounded by the explosion of an explosive charge in his car. The vehicle was moving in Vlore’s central boulevard where it exploded while moving. The vehicle kept moving after the explosion and stopped only after crashing against some other vehicles parked in the road.

A construction businessman from Durres were seriously wounded and then died in hospital a quantity of dynamite exploded in the car he was driving near the Ura e Dajlanit-Plepa road. Xhemal Ceta died the next day in hospital.

An explosive shocked the town of Pogradec, at Neighborhood no.5, at the door of the Democratic Party branch leader in Pogradec, Luan Lipo. The explosion caused only material damages.

An explosive was found in a van in Lezhe. The driver found the explosive wrapped in plastic at the back seat, and a cell phone attached to it.

The driver notified the police, and the experts were able to deactivate the charge.
