The river is eroding the lands/ Farmers in Shkodra protest, demand the construction of embankments

Over 50 hectares of agricultural land in Berdica in Shkodra, are endangered by erosion.

The changed flow of the Drin River risks to erode the land owned by about 35 families and the damage already caused is considerable.

The farmers demand that the municipality of Shkodra and the government take measures for the construction of embankments, because at this rate, the river will get closer to their homes.

In recent years, the inhabitants of Berdica are planting different agricultural crops and recently are also investing in ornamental plants.
