The victory of the local elections for the Municipality of Tirana has
affected the voting of the National Council, because one year before,
Basha ranked much lower.
The victory of the local elections for the Tirana Municipality has given Basha the next victory, this time within the Democratic Party.
The voting of the National Council for the members of the Presidency has shown Lulzim Basha ranking first ub the 42 candidates list, presented by DP leader Sali Berisha. Basha took 116 votes from 131 in total, followed by Sokol Olldashi, with 104 votes, another former candidate for the Municipality of Tirana four years ago.
Another interesting fact in this voting is Ridvan Bode, ranked 9th, with 92 votes, and Aldo Bumçi, DP leader for the city of Tirana. Few votes have also taken Bujar Edmond Spaho and Bujar Nishani, or equal votes with the vice leaders of the Party, Jozefina Topalli and Astrit Patozi.
Despite this change in the vote ranking, the Democratic Party assembly has not changed much in total.
9 of the 25 members are newcomers, mainly MPs or experienced activists in the Party.
