It wasn’t a simple routine meeting, but a meeting much longer than
usual, the one that was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in
Rome between the Albanian and Italian diplomacy leaders.
The Foreign Minister, Giulio Terzi, declared that “he fully trusts that Albania will receive the EU candidate status and that Tirana is a final destination as regards the reforms asked by Eruope”.
The Albanian Foreign Minister declared:
“It was a very important visit for both countries and for the political integration moment in which we are in, for the reforms, the economy and EU matters. Italy has always supported Albania for the EU integration. We have some important cooperations in these fields, for which we will have further developments”, Haxhinasto declared.
Different from the usual, this visit did not end with a handshake in the press room. Minister Giuglio Terzi accompanied his Albanian homologue to the Ministry door, something unusual for the protocol of the institution.
