The Competition Authority is investigating another concession for power abuse, the Bankers Petroleum.
“We have started an investigation that is expected to finish this year”, said Juliana Latifi, Chairwoman of the Competition Authority.
The competition has also investigated the Durres Port Eastern terminal, and the Vehicle Inspection.
However, Chairwoman Latifi said that they didn’t find cooperation from the Prosecution to fight these monopolies.
But this justification didn’t convince the Chair of the Commission of Economy, Arben Ahmetaj, who said that the Competition Authority should not be so passive with the abuses made to citizens, especially in markets where there are strong suspicions for violations.
