Deputy Mayor of Tirana, Enno Bozdo denounced what he called kidnapping of municipal employees by the capital police.
According to Bozdo, 5 employees, who were putting a traffic light near the school “Harry Fultz”, are arrested by the blue uniforms.
“Five of our employees have been kidnapped by police and held illegally in cells of the Station number 3. They would begin to work on a new node of traffic lights in an area of Tirana, at the request of its residents. Just to stop this investment, only because it runs counter to the interests of an individual, businessman of the area, police detained them without having any legal standing to act. I want to recall Tirana’s police chief and directors of Station number 3 that kidnapping is a serious criminal offense and who performs it will be sued criminally,” said Bozdo.
Meanwhile, police sources inform that city employees were asked to stop working until the license verification. But municipal officials have continued the work, which has forced police officers to accompany them to the station.
