The Arberesh Albanians from Italy will contribute to the celebrations for Tirana’s 100th anniversary as the capital of Albania.
The Arberesh Communes in Italy will draft an agenda of activities, with the purpose to encourage and preserve the Albanian history and traditions.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, met with the Vice Chairman of the Potenza City Council, Antonio Vigilante, who has Albanian roots.
“I want to welcome Antonio in Albania and in Tirana. I am very happy that our friend from the Potenza Municipality is here today because there are five Arberesh communes at the Basilicata, and I would want to work together for celebrating Tirana as the capital of all Albanians”, Veliaj said.
