Thaci: “Time for a final reconciliation agreement with Serbia”

Hashim Thaci and Alexandar will travel this Thursday to Brussels, for an
important meeting with the EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini,
who said she is convinced that the Balkan countries will accomplish
important steps towards EU accession by the end of 2019.
Media outlets in Prishtina and Belgrade write that this Thursday they are expected to discuss the modalities for reaching a final agreement in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which would also have international obligations.
The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has also been mentioning a new phase of the Kosovo-Serbia talks, for some time now: “Time has come for the two countries to sign a final reconciliation agreement”, Thaci writes, announcing that there will be a unity team for talks.
“With Mrs. Mogherini and President Vucic we will discuss preliminary ideas and about how we are going to proceed. We must be very responsible and transparent in this process, but it should be done institutionally. This is why we need to constitute the Parliament of Kosovo and the new government. Any delay brings severe consequences”, the Kosovo President stated.
Vucic has also explained that the dialogue will continue in Brussels not only on specific topics, but also about how both parties see their relations after several years.
