Before traveling to Brussels, invited by the head of the EU Foreign
Policy, Catherine Ashton, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci,
commented from the airport the approach of the Belgrade leadership
towards Kosovo.
Responding to the war appeals for Kosovo, launched by the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikoloc, Thaci declared that he will again be in the front of the battle, and recommended to Nikolic to stop dreaming about Kosovo and start caring about his state.
“His war messages are bad news for the peace and stability in the region, but he left as a loser in 1999, when he was a member of the regime that butchered Balkan. I would answer that he will leave as a loser again, in every new adventure with Kosovo. By losing the battle with Kosovo , he will be able to start thinking about Belgrade”, Thaci declared.
Besides the foreign policy, Thaci also mentioned some domestic issues, when asked by the journalists about possible changes in the governing coalition.
“This team has no politics and this is the best governing in the history of Kosovo. Hence, we will keep with the good governing”, Thaci underlined.
One year after the 25th July action in northern Kosovo, Thaci considered this a decisive moment that put in motion the international diplomacy for resolving the problem in this part of Kosovo.
