The Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, congratulated the Albanian
Prime Minister Sali Berisha for holding free and fair elections on June
23rd, and also the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, for winning with
the coalition Alliance for European Albania.
Thaci’s telegram for Berisha says that “Albania successfully passed the democracy test and walks certain on the European Union path”.
Thaci valued the role of Berisha during these years, saying “You have gave an undeniable contribution to the victory of democracy in Albania. You have constantly supported the aspirations of the Kosovo people for freedom and independence, and also the rights of the Albanians in the region. Your contribution will remain historic for Albania’s NATO integration, for the visa liberalization and for opening the Euro Atlantic perspective. You will remain mi friend and a honored man of Kosovo”, Thaci says.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo congratulated the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, for the victory of the left coalition in the June 23rd elections.
“The victory of your coalition, the calmness, transparency and acceptance of the electoral results are a clear indicator of Albania’s euro-atlantic integration values”, says the message of the Kosovo Prime Minister.
Thaci’s message continues: “I express my complete trust that the government led by your leadership and that of Mr.Meta will guarantee national unity, stability and prosperity for Albania”.
“The government of Kosovo is dedicated to deepen the cooperations with the Albanian institutions in our common European path, as two independent states”, says the message of Prime Minister Thaci.
