The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hashim
Thaci, says that the Kosovo citizens who are immigrating, have
mistakenly led to think that a wonderful situation awaits them in
Western countries.

“More education is needed from the leadership of Kosovo, so that our citizens do not create false ideas and leave our country, with the hope that they will find a better life in the Western countries”, Thaci declared ion an interview for the INA Agency.

“My message is an appeal to citizens for them to stay in Kosovo and continue their life, for a better life and so that each of them feels safer in Kosovo. Brussels must also be more quick with the visa liberalization, so that the citizens of Kosovo will not be anymore isolated”, Thaci declared.

The Initiative for Kosovo says that the biggest transfer of citizens is taking place in Kosovo, in front of the government leaders, and that this is not an illegal migration, as the government is calling it.

“Not only citizens are abandoning this country, but also their money and their businesses. This situation will leave other consequences in the economy and budget of Kosovo, Certainly, in the future we will have fewer revenues in taxes, customs and consumption. Most of the citizens are leaving Kosovo from the conviction that there are no jobs, no conditions for a normal life, no safety and no perspective for the future of their children.

The initiative for Kosovo considers that the cause of this situation is the bad governing, especially in the past year, and the current governing coalition which has been very disappointing for the citizens. They say that this government and its wrong policies are hurting every part of the life, the trust and the enthusiast of the citizens for positive changes.
