Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci declared that with this agreement, Kosovo has reached three important objectives.
During an interview for Radio Free Europe, Thaci emphasized that Kosovo achieved three objectives with this agreement: full respect of the reciprocity measures, stopping smuggle and fully controlling the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to Thaci, what should have happened in June 1999, happened on July 2011. He also promises that law and order will be established in Northern Kosovo, and that for this he has international support. He declared that after July 25th, Serbia’s dream for dividing Kosovo was shattered.
“We have a new circumstance, a new situation, a new chapter that will have no turning back. Kosovo will never turn to the situation that was before July 25th. We will only advance. Our commitments will be coordinated with the international community, and for our interior order we will implement only the laws and the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, and we will never negotiate with anyone about this”, Thaci declared.
