Thaci: “Belgrade is arming northern Serbs”

Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, said in an interview for the German
Deutsche Wellw that Serbia is arming Serbs in northern Kosovo.
Thaci said that if the provocative train with nationalistic slogans were not stopped in time, there would be big chances of an armed conflict in the areas.
“We have information that the train was equipped with guns and paramilitary troops, with the purpose to destabilize Kosovo. We also know about Serbia’s plan to divide Kosovo, and that they are arming Serbs in the north”, he said.
Thaci said that the Kosovo authorities have evidence that Serbia is trying the Russian model in Ukraine, that’s why he appealed Kosovo Serbs to not be part of Belgrade’s nationalistic policy.
