The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, held a meeting with the General Secretary of the Holy See, Pietro Paroli.
In this meeting, Thaci thanked Paroli for the support that the Holy See has given to the people of Kosov before, during and after the war, saying that the formal recognition of Kosovo by the Vatican would crown their commitment for securing peace and stability in the Western Balkans and Europe.
“The people of Kosovo is always led by the values of Mother Theresa, values of tolerance, peace, and co-existence. We are grateful for the support that the Holy See has given to the people of Kosovo. What remains now is the recognition of Kosovo by the Vatican”, Thaci declared.
