The Prime Minister of Kosovo and the former President of Serbia, Boris
Tadic, held hands in Dubrovnik, in the second day of the international
conference “Summit of Croatia 2012”.
Tadic declared on Tanjug that the greeting with Thaci has no historical significance, but symbolica, since both countries have a series of problems to resolve.
However, due to Thaci’s presence, no Serbian official was present in this summit, another indicator that the agreemnt reached for Kosovo’s representation in the regional initiatives is not being respected by Belgrade.
The greeting of Tadic with Thaci was announced even earlier by the Croatian Vecernji List, which said that the meeting that Tadic had avoided when president, would take place today.
Although a former president, Tadic is the first Serbian politician that meets the Kosovo Prime Minister in an international meeting.
According to the Croatian media, the US diplomacy had tried to convince Tadic to be present in Dubrovnik since the first day, but this didn’t happen.
