The Court of Serious Crimes has left in prison four of the suspects who were arrested two days ago over charges for encouraging terrorism.
Genci Balla and Bujar Hysa are two self-declared imams who operated in Tirana and Yzberisht mosques.
Fadil Muslimani and Zeqir Ymeri are accused of organizing and funding recruitments for sending Muslim followers in Syria.
Dozens of Muslim believers who frequented the mosques where the Imams were arrested, gathered today around the Court of Serious Crimes.
They had made appeals for protests on their social networks, and this made dozens of RENEA forces to arrive and secure the Court’s perimeter.
The masked and armed men secured the Court for 90 minutes and left. But they returned 30 minutes before the session started, keeping the Court under very strict security measures.
