The Court of Serious Crimes left in prison the four citizens arrested in
Shkoder, suspected of recruiting people for joining the war in Syria.
Doctor Bekim Protopapa and citizen Ergys Faslia refused defensive lawyers, and said that they were being prosecuted just because of their religion.
The two other suspects who were taken under custody, Xhezair Fishti and Medast Hasani, refused to issue any declaration in front of the court.
Increased security measures were held around the Court premises.
The four suspects were arrested after a coordinated operation of the Albanian, Kosovo and Macedonian police.
