The first incidents have taken place in Northern Mitrovica, with an
attack against a candidate of the Serbial List, Kerstimir Pantic, one of
the main pretenders for Mitrovica.
His party has reacted by asking the authorities to verify the case, declaring that he has been attacked by masked people this Friday night.
“This is terrorism and I hope that the government of Serbia will take measures so that these incidents will not take place in Kosovo anymore”, declared Daniela Vujicic, from the Serbian Civil List.
Pantic has been criticized in Northern Mitrovica for turning from a radical to a candidate in the elections.
However, everything is expected to go according to the plan, although after these incidents, it still remains to be seen how the electoral process will go in Northern Mitrovica.
There have been reactions from candidate Adriana Hodjic, who condemned this act saying that those who are responsible need to be brought to justice. From Belgrade, Alexander Vullin, Minister without a portfolio at the Serbian Government, condemned this act by considering it a barbarian act against the participation of Serbs in elections.
