More than 300 police agents and Bailiff Office representatives were at the mine gallery entrance last night, where the miners are holding
their hunger strike.

The Police and Bailiff Office, who were trying to execute the order issued by the Diber Court for removing the miners from the galleries, met the resistance of strikers’ colleagues and relatives.

Preliminary information suggests that there have been clashes between the police and the protesting miners at the door of the elevator that goes hundreds of meters underground.

This is the second attempt of the police forces for removing the strikers from the mine, after the failed attempts for dialogue. The Court issued this order based on the fact that the mine is at risk of collapse and the strikers’ life is in danger.
