After the Albanian Prime Minister addressed the judges who suspended the
Chief of Police with the words “thugs” and “killers of justice”, the
Parliament Members of the opposition surrounded the podium and asked the
vice Parliament Speaker to suspend Rama.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, said that this stance of the DP is planned to obstruct the justice reform. Vice Parliament Speaker Leskaj rejected the request of the Democratic Party, while PM Rama answered to the opposition by saying that if they want the podium, they can carry it to their headquarters. “If you have turned the justice system into a criminal organization and get offended when people call it for what it is, then it is your problem”, Rama said.

As for the publishing of the e-mails from the US Embassy, Rama said that the DP made public only the e-mails they want.

The Democratic Party MP, Edi Paloka, accused the Prime Minister of trying to impose a justice system that works according to his caprices. He said that Rama’s variant protects criminals who he has appointed in Parliament and Municipalities.

The Democratic Party MP, Oerd Bylykbashi, said that consensus and transparency are the only way to implement the reform. He accused the Prime Minister of not wanting the reform.
