Teliti: Local Governments responsible for voters’ list

As Head of Civil Registry Office, Armand Teliti’s response to multiple pretences coming from Socialist Party was that voters’ lists are local government’s responsibility.
“Voters lists are not created by the central government, either updated or produced by the central government. These lists belong to the local government and in Tirana’s case they are Edi Rama’s responsability.” Teliti confirmed.
According to him, the opposition pretences for not being allowed to access the voters’ lists are unfounded, because Civil Registry office has responded to their demands.
“Every Political Party that has demanded the list, has received it electronically.” Teliti added.
His reaction comes as a response to the socialist deputies, who earlier today requested the lists in several Civil Registry offices.
