Technology serving to agriculture

Israel keeps wishing to express their gratitude to Albania for the
historic contribution given during the Second World War, by helping with
the development of one of their most powerful sectors, agriculture.

“Half of Israel is made of deserts. We have a lack of water and of manpower. The youth prefers studying Information Technology rather than working in farms. On the other hand, as a country surrounded by non-friendly states, we need to make sure that we have food reserves. We have achieved this through innovation and technology, and we are ready to share it with our friends, and Albania is one of them”, declared Yair Shamir, Minister of Agriculture of Israel.

The Albanian Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panaraiti, declared that the improvement of technology will serve to the negative balance between imports and exports. He mentioned the cases of milk with presence of aflatoxine.

“We are not in a promising situation, since we need to close a chain of values and guarantee that our milk is enough in quantities, in new technology and quality. We need to change the negative balance that we have between imported and domestic milk, which has been shaken for some reasons. You know about the aflatoxina milk scandal”, declared Edmond Panariti, Minister of Agriculture.

The sectors in which Israeli investors are interested to invest are vegetables, animal breeding, food products and training of Albanian farmers.
