The new fiscal package that will enter in effect on January 1st is expected to reduce corporative taxes, dividend tax from 15% to 8%.
The VAT on pays higher than 130,000 ALL is also expected to be reduced. According to the government, the purpose of these taxes is to make life easier for the class of managers, and give more room to economic growth.
Shareholders of big businesses will no longer pay a 15% dividend tax when they share their profits, but only 8%.
The Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, said that this makes Albania equal to the other countries of the region.
The minister added that the World Bank confirmed that Albania is among the countries with the highest growth in the region.
