The Parliament of Albania passed the fiscal package of the government, which foresees a lower tax on profit, from 15% to 5% for businesses making under 14 million ALL of annual turnover.
The implementation of this measure starts on January 1st, 2019. Present in the room were only the MPs of the majority and the Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, who said that with the recent changes, the tax cut has affected most of the businesses.
Even for agricultural cooperation companies, the tax on profit will be 5%. For agro-tourism businesses, this tax will be applied for 10 years.
For gambling shops, it will be 15%.
