TAP works uncover 1300 year old paleochristian column capital

Construction works for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline have uncovered Paleochristian objects in Polena, corovoda.
The Regional Director of Culture said the works were immediately interrupted and started taking measures in the site.
The cultural object was a column capital, part of a religious monument, most probably a VI century church of our era.
The column capital is 40 centimeters talll and has a 24 centimeter radius.
This shows the area has still a lot of architectural treasures to be uncovered.
