Right before the high temperatures, Lushnje is suffering the lack of tap
water. The already worn out water networks are often damaged and the
water supply is made possible for only a few hours during the day.
The network was built in 1965, and it is indispensable to change it as soon as possible. Residents see as the only solution to use the tanker trucks that drive in every street.
Besides pollution, this aqueduct is also in danger because there are plenty of farms around the water sources.
The Lushnje Aqueduct is part of the project that the German KFW Bank has drafted since 2001, but it has not been completed yet.
