The building of the Trans-Adrtiatic Pipeline (TAP) has entered a new
phase. The project is expected to make an investment to Albania equal to
4% of our country’s GDP.

Shkelqim Bozgo, General Director of TAP in Albania says the investment for this year will be around 400 million EUR, depending on the work progress and special situations.

The TAP Pipeline is the biggest project realized in the Albanian economy. Bozgo says the investment will keep the same pace even during the next year, reaching a total of 1.5 billion EUR.

The TAP pipeline will be tested with gas in 2019, and by 2020 it may be ready to transport gas from the Azerbaijani fields to Western Europe.

TAP has currently employed 1800 people in Albania, and the GDP is expected to be increased with 150 million EUR by this investment.
