The world has been facing the deepest economic crisis since the Second
World War for the past seven years. For economists, the ways to leave
this situation are major investments that could modernize the economy
and increase their development potential.
But what are the biggest works of 2016?
Il Sole 24 Ore has made a classification of 10 biggest investments that are expected for the next year. The seventh of them is the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline that goes through Albania.
The newspaper says the first on the list is the magnetic railway that will connect Osaka and Tokyo, two major cities in Japan. Its cost will be 38.5 billion USD, the most expensive railway in the world.
Second on the list is the Agua Negro tunnel in Argentina, 14 kilometers long and 1.4 billion USD.
Then comes the new airport of Sydney, the third airport lane of Hong Kong and the new Paris Metro.
All these are major investments and the list goes on from Kenya to Georgia.
For the Trans-Adriatic, the newspaper says that it will be 870 kilometers long, it will go throuth Turkey, Greece, Albania and will end in Italy.
The cost will be 2 billion USD and will give European Countries access to the Caspian gas.
