“The situation is more than dramatic for the emergency fund of the winter season.”
This is what the Interior Minister, Sajmir Tahiri, declared before the National Security Parliamentary Commission. According to him, the budget of the ministry that he leads has only 570 USD, two snow-cleaning machines and two bulldozers.
The debates between Minister Tahiri and the opposition Parliament Members continued with the appointments at the State Police. Mr.Tahiri declared at the Commission that all appointments are based on the law, including the Chief of Police.
He says that the change of the police structure has started with some propositions from the former Chief of Police, Hysni Burgaj, in order to increase the management performance.
But the opposition Parliament Member, Astrit Patozi, declared that these appointments are illegal. He said that the government has rejected the experience and training of several police officers. The situation with the appointments, according to Astrit Patozi, bring a great concern for him.
